We’re pleased to announce the newest members of our caring and knowledgeable medical team: Karen Muchowski, MD, FAAFP (Family Medicine, Temecula); Paul V. Polishuk, MD, MS (Urology, Escondido/2nd Avenue); Aeron Wickes, MD (Family Medicine, Sabre Springs); and Victoria Muchnik, PA-C, CDE (Family Medicine, Escondido/2nd Avenue).
Dr. Karen Muchowski is a board certified Family Physician in Graybill’s Temecula Office. She has a special interest in Women’s Health, Pediatrics and Chronic Pain issues. She received her undergraduate degree in Physiology from U.C. Davis in 1992, where she graduated Summa Cum Laude. She earned her medical degree from U.C. Davis School of Medicine and was elected a member of Alpha Omega Alpha, a national honor society for medical students that promotes student leadership, community service and academic excellence. She completed her Family Medicine residency at Oregon Health Sciences University in 1999. Dr. Muchowski speaks and writes fluent Spanish.
Dr. Paul Polishuk is a board certified Urologist in Graybill’s Escondido/2nd Avenue Office. His areas of specialty interest include kidney stones, diseases of the prostate, incontinence and male infertility. Dr. Polishuk earned his medical degree from Creighton University in Omaha, Nebraska in 1993. He completed his Urology residency at the University of Wisconsin Hospital and Clinics in Madison, Wisconsin in 1998. Dr. Polishuk is the Chairman of Urology at Palomar Medical Center, and is a member of the American Urological Association.
Dr. Aeron Wickes is a Family Medicine physician in Graybill’s newest office in Sabre Springs. Dr. Wickes earned his undergraduate degree in Biochemistry and Aquatic Biology from U.C. Santa Barbara in 1978. He earned his medical degree from U.C. San Diego School of Medicine in 1984 and completed his internship at UCSD Medical Center in 1985. Dr. Wickes served as Chairman of the Family Practice Department at Pomerado Hospital from 1995-1998. In 1991 he established his own independent, solo practice in Sabre Springs.
Victoria Muchnik, PA-C, CDE is a certified Physician Assistant in our Escondido 2nd Avenue Family Medicine Department. She has a special interest in chronic disease management and, as a Certified Diabetes Educator, she advocates disease self-management and nutrition education. She received her undergraduate degree in Physiological Science from UCLA in 2009. She earned her Master’s of Science degree in Physician Assistant Studies from Western University of Health Sciences in 2011. Ms. Muchnik is a member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants, The American Society of Endocrine Physician Assistants, and the American Association of Diabetes Educators. Ms. Muchnik speaks fluent Russian and is proficient in Spanish.
